The December 18, 2012 meeting was called to order by President Jim Kumbier at 7:30 pm at the Oshkosh Lanes. The Secretary’s report was read and accepted. The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted with the following balances: WCSA Checking Acct. $5,880.57, Grooming Fund Savings $626.43, WCSA Savings Acct. $6,703.07, Certificate $10,618.43 and Passbook Savings $25.15. Directors Report: Nothing new to report. Trail & Grooming: Hopefully all trails are marked and groomers are ready to go…. Trails will be opened and closed per zones this year as indicated on the maps. Old Business: New Maps are in, if you didn’t pick up any last month, please get some after the meeting. Please get the new maps and map boxes out as soon as possible. Website: The new website is up, the address is www.winctysa.org. Remember that all bills should be mailed or faxed into the Parks Dept. this year instead of emailing them. Also remember to get a copy of your club insurance certificate mailed into the Parks Dept. New Business: Opening and Closing of Trails – Jim will be in contact with the Trail Bosses when determining if the trails should be open or closed. Please make sure to get the trail closed bags out when the trails are closed. Jim will check into getting more of them made. The Parks Dept. only had one club turn in a bill for the grading and disking so far, please get them turned in as soon as possible. A suggestion was made that all clubs should be providing contact information to their landowners in case they have any questions or concerns. A motion was made and accepted to have Matt check into getting 10 more map boxes made up. The AWSC Convention will be held in La Crosse, WI on March 22-24, 2013. Our next meeting will be on January 22, 2013. The November 27, 2012 meeting was called to order by President Jim Kumbier at the Oshkosh Lanes at 7:30pm. The Secretary’s report was read and accepted. The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted with the following balances: WCSA Checking Acct = $6355.05, Grooming Fund Savings Acct = $626.43, WCSA Savings Acct = $6703.07, Certificate = $10,618.43 and Passbook Savings Acct = $25.15. Directors Report: Mike reported that the AWCS Cap/Step program is still on hold at this time. The AWCS website has a lot of information on it for club officers, everyone should take a look at it. 2013 will be the last year for the fall workshop to be held in Stevens Point, starting in 2014 it will be in Appleton. Trail and Grooming: Nothing new to report. Old Business: Trail Maps: Mike had 4500 maps printed and they are here tonight to pick up after the meeting. If anyone has map ad money, please get it turned into Diane after the meeting tonight. Club Dues: As of tonight, Springbrook and Omro Driftbusters still need to pay for the club dues, please get them sent into Diane as soon as possible. Website: Jason reported that the website was not ready yet, but said it would be for the December meeting. The website address will remain the same. Reminder that all bills should be mailed or faxed in this year. Please turn in any grading or disking bills at this time. Sign Orders: The signs did not come in yet, so Jim has some that he had and that the parks dept. had, please see him after the meeting if you need any. Hopefully the new signs will be here in about 2 weeks. New Business: Insurance Certificates – Please remember to get a copy turned into Rob Way at the Parks Dept. Snowmobile Safety Meetings – no club reported that they would be holding any at this time, if you are going to, please let us know so we can get it posted on the Website. County AWSC Youth Reps: Ryan Miller is the President and Jared Faust is taking over as Vice President. Both Ryan and Jared attended the fall workshop and found it very interesting. We are moving up the December meeting to December 18, 2012, because of the holidays. The October 23, 2011 meeting was called to order by President Jim Kumbier at 7:30pm at the Oshkosh Lanes. The secretary’s report was read and accepted. The treasurer’s report was read and accepted with the following balances: WCSA Checking Acct. $5,892.79, Grooming Fund Savings $626.43, WCSA Savings Acct. $6,703.07, Certificate $10,618.43 and Passbook Savings $25.15. Directors Report: Mike touched based on the workshops that will be held at the AWSC Fall workshop. Trail & Grooming: Nothing new to report, but just a reminder that all clubs should be talking to landowners and getting signs ready. Old Business: Trail Maps: Mike has a proof here for everyone to take a look at after the meeting to see if any changes need to be made. Several clubs still have not paid for their ads and there are several spots open yet if anyone knows of a business that would want to put an ad on. Everything needs to be turned into Mike by October 29, 2012. The maps should be ready by the November meeting. Club Tax Status: The parks dept. can work with clubs that have a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(7) status. Reminder that all bills this season need to be faxed or mailed into the Parks Dept. (not emailed). All clubs should be filling out the forms handed out at the Sept. meeting and get them mailed back into the Parks Dept. Web Site: Jason reported that the website should be able to go Live by our November meeting. He is working on moving over the domane name and that the total estimated cost for the website will be around 800.00 to 900.00. Once the map is set, it will be put on the website also. New Business: Jim reported that he has a variety of signs (stop, curve arrows, farm crossing, etc…) if any club needs some, please contact Jim. Youth Club: The Sno-Scats has a youth club again this year. If any youth are interested in joining, they will meet again on November 9, 2012 at 7:30 pm at Utica Golf Course. Our next meeting will be on November 27, 2012. The September 25, 2012 meeting was call to order by President Jim Kumbier at the Oshkosh Lanes at 7:30 pm. The Secretary’s report was read and accepted. The Treasurer’s report was read and accepted with the following balances; WCSA Savings Acct. $5279.79, Grooming Fund Savings Acct. $626.28, WCSA Savings Acct. $6.701.39, Certificate $10,588.34 and Passbook Savings Acct. $25.15. Directors Report: The Legislative Committee decided to wait until after the elections to go any further on the Cap/Step program. Schwartz and Shea did say that landowners are not included in policies at this time, unless you pay the ind. $10.00 for each owner. It was said that if anything ever did happen, you are to ask (what does the State Statue say) and that is all… Trail & Grooming: Nothing to Report Old Business: Trail Maps – Mike was out of town, so he could not give us an update. Jason did report that there are some Ads that we have not been paid for yet. There are also 6 clubs that have not yet purchased their ad yet. Tax Exempt/Non-Profit Forms – All clubs should be working on getting their Non-Profit forms into Rob Way and if your club owns a groomer, you should have a Tax Exempt form to turn into Rob. Bartending at the Fair – Jim thanked everyone who was able to help bartend at the fair. We received 10% of the profit for the night, which was $423.77 and another $183.00 in tips. Website – Jason is happy with the progress being made on the website and said that it should be ready to go live in December. Jason is also looking for any “snow” pictures that anyone has to get them put on the website. Trail Signs – Jim has ordered the signs and will bring them the meeting when they come in. Reimbursement checks for last season should have all been mailed out, please make sure to get them cashed as soon as possible. New Business: Club Packets are being handed out after the meeting tonight. Inside the packet you will find; grooming contracts, billing forms and a club officer/contact list. For this year only, all bills should be mailed or faxed into the Parks Dept. instead of emailing them. AWSC Fall Workshop will be held in Steven Point, WI on Oct. 26, 27 and 28. Mark Weber from Liberty Mutual insurance is here tonight with some insurance information for anyone that is interested, see him after the meeting. Rick Gudex who is running for the State Senate stopped in and talked before the meeting tonight. Our next meeting will be held on October 23, 2012.
