December 18th, 2019 – REVS Bowl Bar and Grill 

December 2019 Alliance Meeting Minutes 
The December 18^th, 2019 meeting was called to order by Vice-President Jeff Miller at 7:35 PM at REV’s Bowl Bar and Grill.  The minutes were read by Paul Villwock.  Minutes accepted as corrected. 

Clubs in attendance were: Springbrook, Wolff’s Pack, Sno-Pioneers, Drifters, Waukau Driftskippers, Sno Scats, Omro Drift Busters, Poygainaire’s, Winneconne Wolfrunners

Treasurer’s Report  
The Treasurer’s report was read by Treasurer Lisa Breu and accepted with the following ending balances.

Motion was made Matt K. and seconded by Debbie Beyer.  Treasurer’s Report was accepted.

The following clubs have dues outstanding:

Director’s Report 
Thanks for the Blue Mound issue support.  Get your Trail Passes now or wait later.  The AWSC is working on a 24 hr grooming message that they will be recommending be posted on club and Alliance websites in response to a pending lawsuit regarding a grooming getting rear-ended last year.  They suggest posting clubs post their own message for now.

Trail and Grooming Report 

• Fields are awfully wet out there.  There are still crops to be taken off before signing is complete.
• Sno-Scats has a Fisk Creek reroute.  The trail now follows County FF for a bit.
• Berlin Bridge is not open and since the river is up it and the marsh may not freeze, which may increase traffic going thru Eureka. 
• Eureka Grooming – Mike and Jason went to a club meeting. They just finalized a rental contract and need to get insurance.  They still need to contact Rob Way as well.
• Trail Pass system is working.  New trails have been added including some from local clubs.  One of clubs has finally gotten a section funded after 20 yrs.  The Borth club got the Poysippi Trail added to the list.
• Wolf’s Pack was gifted a fuel tank.  Does anyone need a 275 gallon fuel oil tank?  Contact Mike Geise.

Old Business  

• Map Committee Update
  • Map are ready for pick up after the meeting.  We (Mike & Jeff) are keeping 2700 for next year and will be take note of what is handed out.
  • 23 hours of work @ $50/hr = $1,150.
  • 5,500 maps = $1,780, plus $146.50 tax
• Where to have Alliance meetings?  Tanners Tap is okay with us using their big back room.  They would like a 2-3 day. Notice.  There would be no charge if patronized.  There would be no charge at The Bar and did not look to busy on Tuesday.
  • Mark K motioned to have the meeting at Tanners for next 3 months.  Scott seconded the motion.  The motioned passed with one objection.
• UR Here maps were discussed.  Did we get a quality map image?  Map signs would be 24”x24”.  $69.00 per sign in multiples of 8, on a 4×8 3/16 aluminum sheet.
  • Discussed how many and who would buy.  It was suggested the Alliance buy map boards for entrances into the county.  Mike Geise counted 10 trail entrances and 18 possible locations.
  • Motion to get 16 24×24 county map signs was made by Paul K. and seconded by Kyle G. motion passed.
• Safety Class Update
  • Drifters had 30 students.
  • Wolf’s Pack had 45 snowmobile and 44 ATV students.  All passed but 1 ATV student.

Village of Winneconne 

• Belting modified – needed to keep a walking path.

New Business

• Military Ride was cancelled.  Since others, advertising support from the AWSC, stepped up to over the event it is on for this year.  Mike Geise asked if the Alliance would be interested in continuing its tradition of supporting the event. 
  • Paul V. reported that the Sno-Pioneers were and raised $300 last night at the club’s Christmas Party.
  • Motion by Debbie B and seconded by Marcie C to donate $250.  Motioned passed.
• Wolf Pack’s A Drawing A Day raffle tickets are $10.  Tickets available at the Bee Hive.  Tickets will be drawn @ 6pm daily at the Bee Hive.
• Mention of a Winneconne High School Ag teacher getting instructor certified with plans to teach DNR ATV & snowmobile safety as part of her class curriculum led to discussion of supporting of Winneconne VIP Ride.
