February 2019 Alliance Minutes
The Feb. 26nd, 2019 meeting was called to order by President Jason Ollanketo at 7:34 PM at REV’s Bowl Bar and Grill. The minutes were read by Paul Villwock. Motion to approve the minutes was made and accepted.
Treasurer’s Report
Please come to our meetings to get a copy of the Treasurer’s Report.
Director’s Report
The Spring Convention is at the Radison in Green Bay, which is full, on Mar. 22-24. Early registration ends 3-7.
The AWSC and DNR want all trails GPS’ed by April 1st. Keep applying for grants to add routes, trails or improvements.
Trail and Grooming Report
At this point trails have been open 24 days. At the present, drifts are a problem and watch for downed trees and other debris. Only 2 clubs have their SNARS records up to date. Please submit reports promptly. One club has had a problem with trespassing – riding all the way up the hill to trail. They put up gates and signs. Speaking to the county supervisor solved the issue of the county plow winging out to far.
Old Business
Map Committee – Jason worked with the county and got the trails marked as desired but when zoomed out to the county level a lot of the detail is lost. Jason met someone from Douglas County that who was able to add our GPS tracks added to Polaris Ride Command. Jason is not impressed with current printer. It was suggested to list ads by zone.
New Business
DNR/County funds don’t cover GPS’ing reimbursement so Jason asked if the Alliance wanted to reimburse members and suggest various ways. A motion was made and seconded to pay $.58/mi for a total of 500 mi max. and it passed.
Officer Nominations – open this and next month. Jason nominated Lisa and Mark for their positions and Lisa nominated Jason for president and they accepted.
There are 5 map boxes left. Hexco and Team Winnebago have maps. The Wolff’s Pack has maps if anyone needs them.
Website Updates: Motioned and passed to spend $100 to get website software working.
Omro Drifter Busters have the Festival brat stand on April 27th.
At 8:22 PM, the motion to adjourn was made and approved.
Respectfully Submitted,
Paul Villwock
WCSA Secretary
