Mike Giese’s dog ate his notes from the AWSC Fall Workshop. (He brought proof.) That was a good thing as the agenda had him limited to 10 minutes. The KOA report response from the snowmobiling community was low and we are the largest group. It was reasoned that was because we are interested in keeping the trails we have rather than getting new trails. Still, in the future we need to be more responsive and voice our opinions. Stephanie Klett debuted some new tourism videos made by brothers from Wisconsin. Blue Mound issue is stalled by law suits. The new Miss Snowflake is a UW-Stevens Point student. The membership date change to the AWSC By-Laws will be voted on in March.
SNARS data is available for all to see without logging in. There are ranking and rating spreadsheets for new trails. There is $500,000 set aside for storm damage. Sno-Pioneers, Wolf Pack and other clubs plan to sign trails on Dec. 1st. Remember trails are open by Zone so call Mike Giese with updates and he will contact Rob Way at the Parks Dept and Jason Ollanketo to update the website.
Maps – Map printing company did not reply back as to which GPS file format works. New mapsize of 19.75×29 adds a fold for a cost of $470 (approx. $140 increase).
The Wolf Pack’s Snowmobile & ATV Safety Class is December 6-9pm on the 4th & 6th and 8am-3pm on the 8that the Boys & Girls Brigade. Drifters Snowmobile Safety Class is Dec. 5th & 8that Headliners.
Insurance – Immunity Clause protects landowners if they are not paid (over $2,500). Land owners’ names must be correct if listed. It costs $10 per owner to list to have coverage until clause settles issue. Some clubs list owners while others do not. Verbal agreements between snowmobile clubs and landowners suffice.
A 210-230 hp JD tractor rental is $3,300 for 100 hrs.
Wolf Packs Vintage Show is Jan. 5th and has free admittance, 16 classes, and a max. class fee of $20.
Meeting in Langlade County this week Wed. at 1 pm over bridge proposal.
December meeting date will be Wednesday the 19th if room is available. Alternate date is the 26th.
At 8:25 PM, the motion to adjourn was made and approved. Next meeting is December 19th,2018.
Respectfully Submitted,
Paul Villwock
WCSA Secretary
